Goa Tourism is set to make a significant mark at the Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF) 2024, scheduled from November 21 to 23 at CAEx, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The state will showcase its commitment to regenerative tourism, emphasizing sustainable practices that benefit local communities, the environment, and the economy while fostering increased tourism from Uzbekistan and neighboring regions.
The TITF 2024, a renowned global platform, gathers tourism stakeholders to explore collaborations and present innovative travel offerings. Goa Tourism aims to leverage this event to position itself as a holistic travel destination, spotlighting its cultural heritage, coastal beauty, and emerging hinterland and ecotourism experiences.
Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte stated, “Goa’s vision is to lead in sustainable tourism. TITF 2024 is an opportunity to connect with global leaders and promote a tourism model that safeguards our natural heritage and enriches local culture while fostering economic development. We aim to make Goa not just a destination but a movement for responsible and regenerative tourism.”
Adding to this, Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director Tourism & Managing Director of GTDC, highlighted, “Our participation will showcase Goa beyond its beaches, emphasizing wellness, adventure, heritage, and spiritual tourism. Direct flights between Tashkent and Goa, operating twice weekly via Airbus A320 Neo, now connect Uzbekistan to the Manohar International Airport (Mopa), enhancing tourism and cultural exchanges.”
The Indian Embassy in Tashkent is actively supporting Goa’s delegation at the fair. Goa Tourism’s stall is expected to attract significant interest from travel agents, tour operators, and international delegates, fostering discussions on collaborations and investments. The delegation plans to engage with industry leaders to boost international connectivity and promote Goa as an authentic, immersive travel destination.
Goa Tourism’s participation aligns with its strategy to transform tourism into a tool for social and economic development, advancing its regenerative tourism approach. By prioritizing sustainability, Goa aims to attract high-quality tourists while preserving its vibrant ecosystem and enriching the local economy.
The TITF 2024 participation reflects Goa’s ongoing efforts to strengthen global tourism partnerships and reinforce its position as a preferred destination for responsible travelers seeking unique experiences.
